Active Clean Icons and Packaging

ActiveClean was identity security software that could purchase physical copies of at retail stores including Best Buy and Target.

THE PROJECT

ActiveClean was identity security software for Windows that users could purchase physical copies of at retail stores including Best Buy and Target. They needed some packaging since this was old school stuff and you could only buy physical CD’s at stores. I worked with a creative director on this freelance project to produce brand standards and packaging for the Active Clean team.

MY ROLE

I was the visual designer on the project. I worked in collaboration with a creative director on this project to produce brand standards and physical packaging for the ActiveClean Software. We produced the packaging and visual designs in Illustrator and InDesign. We were also in charge of collaborating with the printing company on the die cuts were needed and other factors in the production process.

THE CHALLENGE

The main challenge of the product was working to create a look and feel for a new product that was going to be physically placed in a retail store. We needed to work with multiple teams including the ActiveClean team and the Printing company to help guide the design of the product.

WHAT WAS LEARNED

This was fairly straightforward print design project from the get go. I did learn some new things about retail packaging though which made the project a little more engaging than usual.
